In this installment of the series on the Song of Songs, Barry gives his reasons for interpreting the theme of the Song of Songs as "Intimacy with God" and that it is a continuous love song celebrating the love between Christ and his Church.  He elaborates upon the wonder of the invitation that Christ offers to us individually to feel this love.  Some time is also spent on the more literal interpretation of the book as being about the love between a man and a woman.

After an extended detour, we return to Barry's series on Song of Songs. He demonstrates how this passage expresses the potential of the Church for mission and for nurture as well as the power of the Church to affect change on the world and the potential of the Church for beauty.

Barry propounds the importance of spiritual revival and encourages us to pray for the Spirit to be poured out at the commencement of the quarterly week of prayer.
